Amid new social distancing guidelines surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, graduating seniors from Central Kitsap High School had an opportunity to celebrate their first step into adulthood, although in a manner wildly different from previous classes.

On Thursday, students had the opportunity to participate in the “Cougar Cruise,” a drive-thru celebration wherein students remained in their cars (although some opted to take a more prominent vantage through their vehicle’s sunroof) as staff, administrators, friends and family cheered on.

Check out the video Kitsap Daily News captured at the event.
