Veterans stand down set for Oct. 4

The 2014 fall “Stand Down for Veterans” is set for Oct. 4. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sheridan Park Community Center, 680 Lebo Blvd.m Bremerton.

BREMERTON — The 2014 fall “Stand Down for Veterans” is set for Oct. 4. The program runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sheridan Park Community Center, 680 Lebo Blvd.

Donuts and coffee are served beginning at 9 a.m. Hot meals are served between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The Stand Down offers many free services available for veterans and their families. Free services include legal assistance, how to change your child support payments, clothing, hot meal, information to help deal with foreclosure, hygiene items, shaving gear, groceries, haircuts, and many more.

ID (DD214/discharge papers or ID card) is required for entry. Bring several copies of your DD214 or discharge papers for faster service.
