US Bank on Bucklin Hill robbed, search turns up empty

A man wearing a Gonzaga hooded jacket robbed the US Bank in Albertson’s Tuesday afternoon, passing a note to the teller and fleeing on foot with a cash bag in hand.

The robbery was reported at about 4:40 p.m. with a description of the suspect. He was reported to have left walking north from the grocery store, located at 2222 NW Bucklin Hill Road.

Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies searched the area with a tracking dog but could not locate the suspect.

The search indicated the suspect may have left the area in a vehicle, according to a Kitsap County sheriff’s office statement.

The suspect was described as male, white, having acne, about 6-feet-two-inches tall, 300 pounds, wearing a goatee, eyeglasses and a Washington State University beanie that said “Wazzu,” according to a sheriff’s office statement.

No weapon was shown.
