UPDATE: Body of 57-year-old Poulsbo woman found in Discovery Bay

The cause of death has not yet been determined for a 57-year-old Poulsbo woman whose body was found in Discovery Bay in Jefferson County on Tuesday.

The cause of death has not yet been determined for a 57-year-old Poulsbo woman whose body was found in Discovery Bay in Jefferson County on Tuesday, though authorities don’t believe there was foul play, said Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Wilson.

It will likely take two to three weeks before an autopsy and other tests conclude how Janeth Allen Walker died, said Jefferson County Coroner Juelie Dalzell, who also serves as the county’s prosecuting attorney.

Walker’s body was found in the water Tuesday afternoon by a man walking his dog along the shore, said Dalzell. First responders located Walker’s car nearby, which contained a map of the area, Wilson said.

Walker recently moved to Poulsbo from Pennsylvania to live with her twin sister and her sister’s husband, Wilson said. She was last seen at 2:30 p.m. Monday, and was reported missing about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Her body was discovered about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wilson said.
