OLYMPIA — Kathleen Watson of Kingston placed third in the adult division of the Make It With Wool competition, Oct. 29 in Olympia.

The competition coincided with the annual convention of the Washington State Sheep Producers Association.

The contest and fashion show involved 18 contestants who modeled garments they had sewn with fabric that was at least 60 percent wool. First-place finishers will go on to the national competition.

Watson won third for her gray tweed coat. She won a sheep pelt.

Sofia Svensson of Indianola competed in the junior division. She was not a top finisher but modeled a blue zip-front jacket and brown skirt. Her older sister, Johanna, went to Nationals the past two years.
