SUQUAMISH — A GMC Sierra pickup rolled over on Miller Bay Road near Gunderson Road on Thursday morning.

The driver, a 63-year-old man, was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said North Kitsap Fire & Rescue spokeswoman Michele Laboda.

Laboda said the truck was apparently traveling southbound on Miller Bay Road shortly before 9:30 a.m. when it struck a utility pole and overturned in the middle of the roadway. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and airbags deployed.

Medics transported the driver to Wolfle Elementary School in Kingston to be airlifted.

Traffic on Miller Bay Road was alternated around the scene.
