POULSBO – A Poulsbo resident and two former residents in Paris report via social media that they are safe.

Authorities there say at least 150 people were killed in several terrorist attacks in Paris Nov. 13. Former Poulsbo real estate agent Brenda Prowse marked herself as “safe” on the Paris Terror Attacks Facebook Safety Check at about 5:30 p.m. Pacific time, and then posted a note on her Facebook page.

“Hugh and I and our friend Randi Strong-Petersen who is visiting from Poulsbo, are fine,” Prowse reported. “We are in our apartment which is near the Eiffel Tower in the 7th arrondissement watching the frightening French news reports about the attacks in Paris. Sending love and bisous.”

Prowse and her husband, Hugh Nelson, have lived in Paris since January 2013. They were in Paris when the Charlie Hebdo magazine office was attacked in January 2015 and participated in the ensuing peace vigils and march against terror. They blog at muchadoaboutparis.com.
