Suquamish wreck sends two to hospital Wednesday

SUQUAMISH — A Suquamish mother and her young daughter were taken to a hospital for treatment Wednesday after their Toyota truck rolled in a collision on Columbia Street.

The 28-year-old woman and her 4-year-old-daughtera appeared to have minor injuries and were transported as a precaution, said North Kitsap Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Michele Laboda.

The Toyota collided with a Volvo station wagon shortly before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Columbia Street and Brockton Avenue in Suquamish. The impact rolled the Toyota onto its driver’s side. The Volvo sustained front end damage but stayed on its wheels.

The Toyota was carrying the mother, daughter and boys ages 6 and 8. The Volvo was occupied by two adult males who declined medical treatment.

Suquamish Police and Kitsap County Sheriff’s deputies were investigating the wreck.
