Cappella Choirs, based in Port Orchard, is offering a wide variety of summer singing activities for youths from kindergarten through high school age.

How about a singing summer camp? Cappella Camps offer a mix of traditional summer camp activities, such as crafts, competitions and water games, with choir and music classes. Each camp session concludes with a family concert put together during the week.

Day camps for grades K-5 take place July 24-28 and Aug. 7-11. Cost is $125 for a half day or $225 for full-day attendance.

Overnight camp for grades 3-12 is Aug. 13-19 at Delano Bay Camp in Lakebay, with the theme “On Broadway!” Cost is $350.

Students in grades 3-12 who love to sing are invited to try out for Cappella Choirs’ after school choir program, which stages several performances per year.

Cappella Choirs is starting a new choir club for children in grades K-3, with no audition required. The group meets 10-11 a.m. every Saturday at the Music Center. Registration is required; call the center or visit www.cappellachoirs.org.

It’s never too early to get started in music. The new Parent-Child Music Together classes are music and movement classes for newborns through age 5 and their adults. The classes are offered Mondays at 10:15 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m., at the Music Center.

Cost for the class ranges from $75 to $140, depending on the session length and number of siblings enrolled. Classes include two CDs and a songbook. To enroll call the Music Center.

If you’re an adult with a musical flair Cappella Choirs has several faculty positions open. Needed are private lesson teachers for piano, voice, flute and guitar and professional piano accompanists for the choir programs. Call the Music Center for job descriptions.
