South Kitsap road work continues through Aug. 7

Road crews in Kitsap County will work through next week on selected streets that will affect traffic in southern parts of the county.

SOUTH KITSAP — Road crews in Kitsap County will work through next week on selected streets that will affect traffic in southern parts of the county.

Two new roads will undergo maintenance. Bodle Road SE, between SE Sedgwick Road and Long Lake Road SE, will be paved during the week. Shoulder maintenance will be done at SE Cedar Road between Ferate Avenue SE and Bethel Road SE. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work area.

Work on the Manchester Stormwater Retrofit phases 1 and 2 are continuing, officials say. NW Cascade crews are finishing roadway restoration work along Colchester. Nordland Construction crews also begin phase 2 of the Manchester Stormwater Retrofit Project. Crews are constructing a new stormwater outfall structure adjacent to the Port of Manchester boat launch, including a new fixed pier that provides access to the floating pier at the park.

Work will include limiting access to a portion of Pomeroy Park and minor traffic delays to the Port of Manchester parking lot and boat launch.Work is expected to be completed at the end of September.
