Snow blankets South Kitsap area | SKSD two hours late

Because of the layer of slushy snow blanketing the region, the South Kitsap School District has announced this morning that classes will start two hours late.

The district also said that there will be no elementary band or morning programs today. Residents on Anderson Hill should use the alternate bus stop at Warbler. Also: No bus service will take place on Lake Helena Road.

All campuses of Olympic College will open at 10 a.m.

Kitsap County Public Works has reports of a tree down at the intersection of Lund Avenue SE and Phillips Road SE. County crews are responding. The report did not include if there were wires involved.
