The Internal Revenue Service’s Silverdale Taxpayer Assistance Center will open at its new location in June.

The new office located at 9657 Levin Road suite L-20 will open at 1:30 p.m. June 1, according to a news release sent Thursday.The current location, 9833 Poplars Ave., NW suite 105, will close at noon May 28.

The Taxpayer Assistance Center provides tax help to the public.

The hours of operation — Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. — will remain the same. The next closest IRS office is located in Tacoma.
