The Silverdale Chamber of Commerce is seeking applicants for its vacant executive director after former Executive Director Michael Broom left the chamber in September without explanation.

The deadline for applicants to send resumes is Dec. 15, according to an e-mail from the chamber’s President-elect Angela Sell.

There is no date set for when the chamber hopes to have a new director and the organization will interview candidates until the right person is found, current President Chris Koebelin said.

Interested applicants should have previous chamber of commerce experience and familiarity with non-profit management, Koebelin added.

Broome, who served as the executive director for nine months, declined to comment on the nature of his departure when he left the chamber and Koebelin declined to discuss details, saying the decision was a “private matter.”

Applications can be sent via e-mail at brandy@silverdalechamber.com.
