Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies forced entry into a Silverdale apartment early Wednesday morning and stopped an apparent home invasion robbery, according to Deputy Scott Wilson, KCSO spokesman.
Deputies responded to The Madison at Ridgetop Apartments, located in the 1100 block of Voyager Lane NW off Ridgetop Boulevard in Silverdale, shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday when a person called 911 because they’d heard an argument or fight in a neighboring apartment.
When deputies arrived, they heard sounds of a “disturbance” inside the apartment and when they looked through a window, they saw two masked suspects who had tied up three people, according to Wilson.
Deputies announced their presence at the door and, when no one answered, they forced their way into the apartment.
Once inside, a fight ensued, but deputies apprehended two men: Aaron J. Abrahamson, 22, of South Kitsap and Kelsy P. Borchers, 19 also of South Kitsap.
One man had a handgun and the other had a realistic-looking pellet gun, according to Wilson.
The victims, two males, ages 19 and 20, and one female, 22, were treated on scene by Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue for minor injuries.
Bremerton Police and Washington State Patrol also responded to the incident.
A third suspect, Lindsey L. Coombe, 21, of Bremerton, was arrested by sheriff’s detectives at 3 p.m. Wednesday at her home.
Detectives believe Coombe drove the car that brought Abrahamson and Borchers to the apartment complex and she knew a crime was being committed, according to Wilson. She waited in the vehicle until deputies arrived on scene, then she left and attempted to call one of the suspects on her cell phone to warn them that law enforcement had arrived, Wilson added.
Abrahamson and Borchers were arraigned in Kitsap County Superior Court Wednesday afternoon and charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary. Both charges carry a special allegation because the defendants allegedly had a firearm during the crime.
An innocent plea was entered on behalf of both defendants, according to Wilson. The court retained Abrahamson’s bail at $500,000 and $550,000 for Borchers.
Coombe was initially charged with a single count of first-degree robbery with bail set at $100,000. She is scheduled to make an initial appearance in superior court tomorrow.
