KINGSTON — A 28-year-old Sequim man died March 11 in a head-on collision on state Highway 104.

Identification of the man is pending notification of next of kin, the State Patrol said.

An unidentified Kingston 14-year-old was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. A Kingston man, James A. Norberg, 53, was taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton.

The wreck was at 7:47 p.m. at the highway’s intersection with Parcell Road in Kingston, according to a State Patrol memo.

Troopers said the white 1994 Toyota Camry driven by the Sequim man crossed the center line as it traveled eastbound and struck Norberg’s black 1994 Jeep Cherokee as it was headed west.

The teen was a passenger in the Jeep.

Both cars rotated counterclockwise, with Norberg’s Jeep coming to rest on the eastbound shoulder while the Sequim man’s car ended up in the center of the intersection, troopers said.

The State Patrol said the cause of the wreck is under investigation.
