North Kitsap Education Foundation changes name

The change more clearly distinguishes the organization from those with similar names, such as the North Kitsap Education Association. North Kitsap Schools Foundation, which is a nonprofit, volunteer organization, was established in 2002 to promote and help fund the best possible learning opportunity for all students of the North Kitsap School District.

NK Schools Foundation “MOR” for a Difference

charity for September

The North Kitsap Schools Foundation (NKSF) has been selected as the September featured charity for Mor Mor Bistro’s “MOR” for a Difference Charity Lunches. Mor Mor will donate 5 percent of their total Wednesday lunch sales to NKSF during September. As a bonus, Liberty Bay Auto will match the Mor Mor donation. Lunch service runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Last year North Kitsap Schools Foundation provided 16 grants, totaling nearly $6,000, to North Kitsap School District teachers and staff for creative learning projects. Proceeds from this fundraiser will allow NKSF to continue to increase grant amounts for this program.
