School board members in Central Kitsap will review candidates for an empty board seat and for the position of interim superintendent on Wednesday.

The board announced today it will hold a special session in which it will review potential candidates. The review process for superintendents will take place in private during executive session.

Following the review, however, the board will move to bring in candidates for final interviews.

The board will then interview applicants for its own district four seat. Interviews for the school board seat will take place in an open public session.

The district four seat was vacated earlier this month when Christy Cathcart announced she would resign her post in order to move closer to her son’s family.
