BREMERTON — The 17th annual Bremerton Winterfest starts 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4 at the First Friday Artwalk in downtown Bremerton.

Aside from the regular first Friday events, there’ll also be free horse-drawn carriage rides on Pacific Avenue and holiday music performed by the Bremerton Youth Chorale and the Sweet Adelines.

The press release states, “For good things to eat, just walk down the street. Each step of the way, you’ll find lots of treats. Like hot cocoa and goodies so sweet.”

People are also invited to visit the Evergreen Children’s Theatre and Aurora Valentinetti Puppet Museum on 4th Street for exhibits and free refreshments. And restaurants in downtown Bremerton “are ready with good cheer and fine fare; some even have live music to share,” according to the press release.

And, of course, Santa Claus will be making his appearance. He’ll arrive at the Naval Museum at 5:30 p.m. for the tree lighting. Pictures can be taken with Santa at the Kitsap Credit Union from 6-7 p.m.

Winterfest is presented by the Downtown Bremerton Association and is sponsored by Kitsap Credit Union. For more information, visit downtownbremerton.org.
