Roads throughout Kitsap County are undergoing maintenance work this summer while the rain clouds stay away. In the southern part of the county, an ambitious schedule of chip sealing will take place throughout the coming week.

South Kitsap Area

Monday, Aug. 8

Inwood Lane (from Clover Valley to the end)

Cornell Road (from Southworth to the end)

Saaco Lane (from Beach Drive to the end)

Henry Hanson Road (from Horstman Road to the end)

Fir Street (From Higgins Road to Jackson Avenue)

Roosevelt Avenue (from Maple Street to Mile Hill Drive)

Higgins Road (from Fir Street to Maple Street)

Tuesday, Aug. 9

Henry Hanson Road (from Horstman Road to the end)

Ridge Rim Trail (from Lakeway Boulevard to the end)

Lakeway Boulevard (from Bethel Burley to Sidney Road)

Wednesday, Aug. 10

New work – SE Lund Avenue

(between Jackson Avenue SE and Madrona Drive SE)  County crews are full-depth patching at this location Friday. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work areas. Expect delays of up to five minutes in the immediate vicinity of the work.

Ongoing work – E. Chester Road

(between Woods Road SE and California Avenue SE)  County crews continue full-depth patching at this location Monday through Wednesday.

Flaggers will direct motorists through the work areas. Expect delays of up to five minutes in the immediate vicinity of the work.

Ongoing work – E. Main Street / E. Madrone Avenue

(from the intersection of Beach Drive E. and Spring Street E. to Alaska Avenue)

This road will be closed from May 2 through Sept. 16 for phase 3 of a continuing stormwater project there. Closures are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Traffic will be detoured around the work. Plan for significant delays. Use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays.

Flaggers will direct motorists through the work areas. Expect delays of up to 10 minutes in the immediate vicinity of the work.
