POUSBO -Members of the Poulsbo Noon Lions Club will be spread throughout Poulsbo Friday and Saturday, May 4 – 5.
This is the one weekend a year when Lions roam the streets of Little Norway asking for help for a good cause: the Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight and Hearing. The Lions call it White Cane Days, the funds collected go directly back to the local community for sight and hearing needs, in 2017 the club raised more than $6,000.
Club members will also be collecting used eyeglasses, non-prescription “readers” and hearing aids for recycling.
Look for the Lions and North Kitsap High School Leos in Poulsbo at Central Market, Red Apple, Walmart, the post office, and downtown Poulsbo on Front Street. Terry Blais, White Cane Days co-chair said “Every donation helps, you are making a difference in our community. Every dollar we raise stays here.”
