Possible threat at Olympic College Poulsbo campus reported

Note found in bathroom on campus leads to police investigation

POULSBO — Law enforcement officials are investigating a suspicious note found in a restroom May 6 on the Olympic College Poulsbo campus.

The handwritten note warned that “malicious activities” would take place in Washington state starting May 6 by a group called ISTS, according to an email from Olympic College that was sent to its students.

Ed Call, director of campus safety, said the note was rather vague.

“The note was very short,” Call said. “Not necessarily clear with regard to intent.”

Students have been notified and the note was passed along to Poulsbo Police.

“We are just keeping our campus informed and waiting to hear from law enforcement,” Call said. “Just like any other type of situation.”

No specific threatening criminal activity has been at the campus thus far.

This story will be updated throughout the day.
