Port Gamble Gazette: Bridge closure

Many things are changing as we enter into spring in Port Gamble with the biggest the closure of the Hood Canal Bridge. We look forward to welcoming many new and old visitors alike that will be commuting to and from work.

We are getting closer to the closure of the Hood Canal Bridge and many changes in Port Gamble. When you come into Port Gamble, please be aware of road changes – Rainier Avenue, the road that the water towers are at is now a one way road heading into town; Puget Way and View Drive will remain a two-way road.

The parking has changed significantly on View Drive and Puget Way; you will now see no parking allowed on the south side of View Drive. There is also no parking on the north side of the barricade on Rainier Avenue. Please remember that when you park on Rainier Avenue, you can not turn around on the street and go back the way you came in – you must exit from View Drive.
