Police search for sex offenders who failed to register with sheriff’s office

Kitsap County Sheriff’s detectives are searching for two sex offenders who violated provisions of their release from jail by failing to register with the sheriff’s office.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s detectives are searching for two sex offenders who violated provisions of their release from jail by failing to register with the sheriff’s office.

Level 3 sex offender William C. Moose, 20, was previously registered with the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) as a transient. He is required by law to check in with KCSO weekly and last checked in Oct. 14. He was required to check in Oct. 21, but has made no attempt to contact the sheriff’s office, according to KCSO.

Moose was convicted of statutory sexual seduction in 2005 in Nevada and served 298 days of incarceration. He has been arrested several times for probation violations and was last released from prison in May after serving seven months of a 13-month sentence for failure to register as a convicted sex offender.

Level 1 sex offender Ernie Sandoval Jr., 24, previously registered with KCSO as residing in the city of Bremerton.

He has numerous probation violations and convictions for not actually living at the registered address, according to KCSO. Sandoval Jr was most recently released from prison Oct. 13 and he registered with the sheriff’s office as a transient. Sandoval Jr is required to check in with KCSO weekly and failed to check in Oct. 21. He has not made any attempt to contact the sheriff’s office, according to KCSO.

Sandoval Jr. was convicted of third-degree rape of a child in 2003 in Kitsap County Superior Court and sentenced to 27 months of incarceration. He was released from prison in 2005.

Both offenders are currently wanted for probation violations by the Washington State Department of Corrections and warrants have been issued for their arrests. Kitsap County Superior Court arrest warrants are pending.
