Sheriff’s deputies responded to an armed robbery call at 1:30 a.m. April 13 inside a home in the 1500 block of NE Roseway Lane in East Bremerton.
A 20-year-old victim told deputies five or six black men, at least one of which had a gun, came into the house he shares with three roommates and stole some of their things.
The four roommates, two 19-year-old men, a 20-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, were visibly shaken up from the robbery, the deputy noted in his report. The 20-year-old man and one of the 19-year-olds both had visible injuries from being punched in the face and choked by the suspects.
One of the men said he heard knocking on the front door and when he opened it, he saw five or six subjects, possibly all black males, standing outside the door. The first suspect, holding a gun, told the man to get back and the suspects barged into the residence.
The four residents were forced into the kitchen and onto the floor. The suspects assaulted two of the men and took their wallets and cell phones. They then went from room to room stealing items, including numerous video games, a couple video game systems and a laptop.
Deputies conducted a K-9 search for the suspects that led to the parking lot behind BC Audio and Chips Casino on NE Riddell Road. They reviewed surveillance video from Chips Casino and saw two vehicles leave the parking lot around the time of the robbery.

Sheriff’s deputies and Bremerton Police officers responded to a call of a child luring incident at about 8 p.m. April 12 in the Riddell Square shopping center in East Bremerton.
A man called police when his 11-year-old son and his friend came home and told him a man in a van told them to come over because a girl wanted to talk to them.
The father and two 11-year-old boys met police at the Riddell Square shopping center and the boys identified a man inside a recreational vehicle (RV) as the man who tried to lure them.
The 45-year-old Spokane man said a 41-year-old man inside the RV told him to call the boys over. He said he didn’t know why he wanted him to call them over, but he thought the 41-year-old wanted to ask the boys for money to buy beer.
The 41-year-old and a female occupant of the RV denied calling out to the boys.
The boys said they were going to Fred Meyer and rode their bicycles into Riddell Square when the Spokane man called out to them. They said he told them to come over because a girl wanted to talk to them. The boys said, “What?” The man replied, “Please get in the van, there’s a girl that wants to talk to you!”
The boys said no and rode their bicycles back to one of their houses.
The Spokane man was arrested and booked into jail for luring. His bail is set at $25,000.
Linda starting trouble
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a physical domestic dispute call around 1 p.m. April 10 in the 13400 block of NW Coho Run in Central Kitsap.
A woman called 911 stating she had been choked. A man also called and said the woman hit and kicked him.
The 63-year-old man told a deputy his 53-year-old ex-girlfriend showed up at his house. The woman said she moved out several weeks ago, but returned to pack up some of her belongings and visit neighbors.
The woman said she listened to an unheard message on the answering machine and it mentioned her ex-boyfriend having dinner with a woman named Linda.
She became upset and confronted her ex-boyfriend when he returned home. The man said she smacked him and kicked him several times before she called 911. The man said she wouldn’t let him talk to 911 dispatchers, so he called 911 from his cell phone.
The woman was arrested and booked into jail for fourth-degree assault. She was later released.
The vanishing chip
A sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a theft at Chips Casino on NE Riddell Road in East Bremerton shortly before 9 p.m. April 10.
A casino employee said a 40-year-old woman told him someone took a $100 chip off a gambling table that belonged to her.
A witness said she saw a 49-year-old Belfair woman take the chip, conceal it in her shirt or bra and then walk to the bathroom. The casino employee said they checked the surveillance cameras and it showed the suspect taking the chip off the table.
Due to a language barrier, the deputy spoke to the woman using her grandson as an interpreter. The deputy asked her if she took the chip and she said no, but did not act surprised by the question. The deputy checked the woman’s purse and did not find the chip.
The victim said she was betting at the table and the suspect was standing next to her. She briefly turned away from the table and when she turned back, her $100 casino chip was gone.
The Belfair woman was transported to jail for theft. She was later released.
Chips Casino employees continued looking for the missing chip.
