Picture perfect

The Historic Downtown Poulsbo Photo Contest winners.

POULSBO ­— In one image, downtown Poulsbo is reflected in Liberty Bay under a blue sky.

In another image, the photographer manipulated her photo to give her image of a downtown street scene the feel of a well-handled 1950s postcard.

Other images capture a misty morning on Liberty Bay and a moment in Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront Park.

Those images are the winners of the Historic Downtown Poulsbo Photo Contest, sponsored by the Historic Downtown Poulsbo Association.

Photographers submitted entries in two categories: General, and A Day in Poulsbo. Entries were judged by Christy Camerer, Bluewater Artworks Gallery & Framing and members of the Poulsbo art community.

A Day in Poulsbo
— First place: “Fog in Poulsbo,” by Joe Krogh.
— Second place: “Sunset,” by Susan Glass.

General
— First place: “Downtown Poulsbo from Liberty Bay,” by Jeff Liska.


— Second place: “A Drive Down Front Street,” by Kayla Ulvila.

The first-place winners receive custom framing from Bluewater Artworks Gallery & Framing, photo frames from Saisons Boutique, Hot Shots Espresso gift cards, and a one-year subscription to the North Kitsap Herald.

The second-place winners receive 50 percent off custom framing from Bluewater Artworks Gallery & Framing, photo frames from Saisons Boutique, and a one-year subscription to the North Kitsap Herald.

The RockFish Group coordinated the contest. Matt Clucas was legal counsel. The RockFish Group is a marketing and public relations company located in downtown Poulsbo.

RockFish coordinated public outreach during the Anderson Parkway project.
