Pickup truck circles Costco parking lot for hours

Two men in circling the Silverdale Costco parking lot in a pickup truck were ordered to leave the area Feb. 5 after lingering in the area for hours and reportedly looking into vehicles.

Two men circling the Silverdale Costco parking lot in a pickup truck were ordered to leave the area Feb. 5 after lingering for hours and reportedly looking into vehicles.

Costco employees reported the men, a 25-year-old and 51-year-old, both from Arizona, after 1 p.m. and said they had been circling the parking lot in a white Dodge pickup since about 10 a.m., according to reports from the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office. They told deputies the 25-year-old passenger occasionally got out and looked into vehicles.

Deputies found the vehicle driving from the Old Navy area to Costco and stopped it in front of Costco. The men said they had just arrived and were looking for a parking spot. When confronted about reports they were looking at cars, they told deputies they were looking for work. One deputy observed a tool in the bed of the truck used for punching locks out of vehicle doors and the ignition.

The men were advised to leave the area.
