A sunny weekend greeted Whaling Days revelers, and the 25th annual Silverdale Rotary Duck Race was held at Silverdale Waterfront Park.

The winner was Debbie Lamb from Bothell. She has the choice of winning a 2018 Nissan truck or $16,000. If the lone white duck in the race had won, $1 million would have been rewarded to that person, courtesy Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort.

Over $1.5 million was raised from local sponsors to support the community.
