A Bremerton man stopped traffic on Sixth Street Sunday by pulling his pants down in the middle of the road after getting bounced from a bar for threatening the bartender.

The incident occurred two days after the 51-year-old man caused “problems” at Monica’s Social Club, the Salvation Army and 7-Eleven, according to police reports.

When officers arrived at Monica’s Social Club at 1:44 p.m., witnesses told them the 51-year-old man threatened the bartender after he had already been “86’d” from the bar Oct. 8, according to reports. One witness, a 37-year-old man, told police that after the suspect was ordered to leave by the bartender, he pointed at her, saying, “You are going to die tonight.” As the man walked to the door, he tried to get people to fight with him, the witness said.

The man then walked into Sixth Street and pulled down his pants, halting both directions of traffic.

The man, who smelled “moderately” of alcohol, was arrested and repeatedly banged his head against the plexiglass partition in the patrol car. He claimed he was working for God and was an angel and also said he was the devil.

He was booked into Kitsap County jail for harassment, trespassing, disorderly conduct and lewd conduct.
