HANSVILLE — This coming weekend, the Greater Hansville community is providing every garage sale shopper’s greatest dream — an entire community center and park full of reasonably priced used items just waiting to be snatched up.
POULSBO — During a time when communication via text messaging is the norm and family dinners are a rare phenomenon, one group has kept alive a homegrown tradition bringing friends and relatives together year after year.
POULSBO — Downtown Poulsbo may have seen its usual crowd of shoppers last weekend, but there were a few extra on the streets for more than just unique wares.
Monks from the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple on Bainbridge Island, along with members of several other faiths, led the third annual Interfaith Peace Walk through the streets of Poulsbo, praying and chanting the Buddhist mantra “Namu-myoho-renge-kyo,” which means, “All beings or lives are sacred.”
PORT GAMBLE — Though they may not be using pitchforks and wearing overalls, planners at Olympic Property Group are still working hard on the farm. After acquiring the historical Babcock Farm, located near Port Gamble, OPG employees are doing their best to get it up and running again.

POULSBO — As the Poulsbo Arts Festival prepares to chalk up another year in existence, Little Norway readies to once again transform with the stroke of a brush into a lively venue for the arts.

POULSBO — It’s been more than a year and a half since its predecessor, Mitzel’s American Kitchen, was destroyed in a May 30, 2006 fire, and soon the new Taprock Northwest Grill will debut in Poulsbo with all the flair and flavor the region has to offer.
The building is now 80 percent complete, and construction will most likely be finished by mid-September. Elmer’s Restaurant, Inc. (ERI) CEO Dennis Waldron said the aim is to open the eatery in mid- to late-October.
