Options mystery dinner theater returns

"Murder in the Klondike" helps beat winter blahs

Want to beat the winter blahs? Join a fun-filled evening of mystery dinner theater at 7 p.m. Feb. 23-24 and 5 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Eagles Hall, 4230 NE Lincoln in Poulsbo.

The North Kitsap Options program of the North Kitsap School District hosts the annual event and some of the starring roles are filled by parents of students.

Follow a bunch of Klondike history buffs as they gather at their favorite Alaskan watering hole to recreate the old Gold Rush days (complete with song and dance), when suddenly, something goes terribly wrong and the result is … murder!

Enjoy a four-course gourmet meal, hosted bar and silent auction while trying to figure out “who done it.”

Tickets are $40 (includes choice of vegetarian or non-vegetarian meal) and available at Poulsbo Athletic Club, Kingston Fitness Center or call Isabel at (360) 265-2000. Proceeds benefit the Options program, a K-8 alternative education program at Gordon Elementary in Kingston.

Options will host an open house for those interested in more information about the program at 7 p.m. Jan. 31 at Gordon Elementary, located on Barber Cut Off Road.
