The Kitsap County Department of Community Development has scheduled an open house at 1 p.m. on June 28 at the Greater Hansville Community Center to review and receive comments on the preliminary draft of the Greater Hansville Community Plan.
With information gathered at the open house, DCD staff will revise the plan accordingly and provide a short debriefing at the July 14 GHAAC meeting, according to DCD Associate Planner Pete Sullivan. DCD will then present the final draft at a special GHAAC meeting tentatively scheduled for July 28. The Kitsap County Planning Commission begins its review in August, followed by formal public hearings and final adoption by the Board of County Commissioners no later than December 2009. “This planning process is nearing completion,” Sullivan said, “so now is the time to make your voices heard.”
Draft documents are available on the DCD’s web site or by going to Hansville’s community Web site at www.hansville.org, then clicking on the “Community Planning” link on the left. Click on “Kitsap County Site” button on the bottom of the page. Questions or comments can be directed to Associate Planner Pete Sullivan, psulliva@ co.kitsap.wa.us or (360) 337-5777.
