POULSBO — At least one person was reported injured in a collision at Highway 305 and Bond Road Thursday morning.

The crash occurred about 7:30 a.m. Police Police, Poulsbo Fire and paramedics, State Patrol and state Department of Transportation responded to the scene.

Emergency personnel moved fluidly in several directions. One motorist, described by dispatchers as a 70-year-old woman, was taken to an ambulance. Police directed traffic around the crash site; traffic was backed up on 305 to Viking Avenue and 7th Avenue, and on Bond to Pugh Road. A firefighter swept up debris. A Department of Transportation truck pushed a Mazda MX3, its front-end crushed, out of the intersection and to the southeast corner. Another responder poured sand to absorb spilled fuel and oil. A tow truck prepared a Buick four-door, off to the side at the northeast corner of the intersection, to be towed. The intersection was clear by 8 a.m.

The crash scene was not without hazards, despite the presence of emergency personnel. Two northbound vehicles, directed by an officer to turn left onto Bond Road, drove around him and headed up 305.
