Edwin “Pat” Patrick, 63

Edwin “Pat” Patrick died March 1 from complications of Alzheimer’s. He was 63.

Patrick was born in Seymour, Ind. on Jan. 5, 1945.

He retired from civil service at Travis Air Force Base in 1994. He served four years in the Air Force at SAC Headquarters in Omaha, Neb., and 16 years in the Air Force Reserves in California. He loved fixing things and being helpful to others. His greatest passion was motorcycling in the Medicino National Forest in California where he previously resided. He lived in Poulsbo for the last six years.

Patrick is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shari Patrick, his daughter Tricia Hanley and his grandson Kellen Patrick Hanley.

He is also survived by his son-in-law Mike Hanley.

There will be a memorial in California in April. Donations can be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Verle Janette Thompson, 69

Verle Janette Thompson died March 20. She was 69.

Thompson was born on Jan. 6, 1939, in Sisseton, S.D., to Richard and Doris Moshier. She worked for the Department of Defense in Keyport and Bangor for 12 years, until she retired in 1997.

Thompson enjoyed gardening and traveling.

She is survived by daughter Lynn Thompson of Poulsbo; son Chris Thompson of Redondo Beach, Calif.; brothers Richard Moshier of Henderson, Nev., David Moshier of Watertown, S.D., Tom Moshier of Surprise, Ariz., Mike Moshier of Loveland, Colo., and Jim Moshier of Watertown, S.D.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Ryan De Gouveia of Poulsbo, Daniel De Gouveia of Bremerton, Jennifer Duke of Bremerton, Amanda Thompson of Bremerton, and Emma Duke of Bremerton. She is also survived by her companion H. Lee Frymire of Bremerton.

No formal services will be held.
