KINGSTON — Ross McCurdy, co-owner of the Oak Table Cafe, said his restaurant has hosted several successful spaghetti feed fundraisers in the past, and wanted to continue helping the community by hosting a fundraiser for the 4th of July festivities.

The spaghetti dinner will be June 19 from 6-8 p.m., at 11171 Highway 104 in Kingston. Adult plates are $10, kids $5, for a plate of spaghetti and garlic bread, and a drink. The staff will be volunteering their time and the restaurant covering the cost of food; 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the 4th of July festival costs.

DeBoer said around June 6 the festival still needed $10,000.

The celebration will kick off on July 3 with Tiny Town, Kingston’s Got Talent and a community open-mic night at Kola Kole Park. The next day, the parade will wind down Highway 104 to Washington Boulevard. Vendors and live music will be set up at Mike Wallace Park, and fireworks will begin about 10:30 p.m.
