The jazz band, directed by Rick White, performs at events throughout Kitsap County and as far away as Victoria, B.C.

Jazzline has garnered some impressive wins in choral competition, including a first place in February at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Idaho. It was the second year in a row the group took home that trophy.

Jazzline member Emily Usher won the alto solo competition at the festival, and pianist Joey Walbaum won best original composition for the second year in a row.

The 30-plus member Concert Choir performs quarterly concerts and sings at other events around the county. The Chamber Choir performs around the county and at festivals, often tackling difficult pieces that require a great deal of hard work to master.

“Jazz Night at the Roxy” takes place 7:30 p.m. May 25 at the Roxy Theater, 270 Fourth St., Bremerton.

The Spring Concert takes place 7:30 p.m. May 31 at the Bremerton High School Performing Arts Center.
