Nominations for North Kitsap’s Teacher of the Year Award will remain open until the end of March.

Do you know a teacher who goes above and beyond to help their students succeed? Well, now is your chance to see to it that they are recognized for their work with the North Kitsap Teacher of the Year Award.

For the 2017-18 school year, Cindy Rathgeber of the Silverwood School and Nancy Bale of Poulsbo Middle School were recognized as teachers of the year. Tasha Heino of the Silverwood School was also recognized as the 2017 rookie of the year.

Chosen teachers will receive both public recognition for their outstanding service to students and a monetary grant as well.

Information on eligibility requirements and submitting a nomination may be found at nkteacheroftheyear.org. Nominations must be submitted no later than March 31.
