POULSBO — No employees or movie-goers were injured when a man allegedly robbed the Regal Cinema Stadium 10, 750 NW Edvard St., around 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

Poulsbo Interim Chief Bob Wright said a thin, African-American male entered the cinema and demanded money from the manager at gunpoint. Video surveillance showed the male was wearing something that covered the lower part of his face, and he had a handgun; police do not yet know the make and model. Wright said he could not disclose the amount of money taken, but the cinema did not have a large amount of cash.

Four people were inside the cinema lobby during the robbery. The suspect fled the scene on foot and headed north. Poulsbo Police used a Kitsap County Sheriff canine unit to track the suspect. Nobody has been arrested.

Holly Boyle, the cinema manager on Wednesday afternoon, said she was “not allowed to comment.”

Wright said the investigation is active, and if anyone has any information to call Detective John Halstead at (360) 779-3113.
