No arrests made in Hidden Creek lockdowns

Hidden Creek Elementary School in Port Orchard went into lockdown for two separate incidents Jan. 23.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office officials said it went into lockdown after reports around 10:15 a.m. that a suspicious man was spotted outside the school located off Converse Avenue SE. Officers found nothing.

South Kitsap School District public information officer Amy Miller said the school then received a threatening call that further prompted the lockdown. KCSO traced the threats to a 14-year-old juvenile, who reportedly admitted making that threat along with several others to random phone numbers in and out of state. No arrests were made.
