The North Kitsap fastpitch team clinched the Narrows League Bridge Division title Monday, beating the second-place Port Angeles Roughriders 2-0. The win was also coach Dan Kolda’s first in PA.

“I’ve never won at PA before,” Kolda said. “But they couldn’t have done it any better.”

Heather Case went the distance for North, striking out five and allowing only two hits. The Vikings scored both of their runs in the first inning, with Brenda Stice hitting a double, Case driving her in from second and Jamie Heins following with a single to score the additional RBI.

The win completes the sweep for the diamond teams at North Kitsap, as the boys’ baseball team had clinched the title as well versus Olympic April 28.
