Manette Bridge to be closed for four days beginning Aug. 20

The bridge will reopen in the afternoon on Aug. 23

BREMERTON — If you regularly travel into downtown Bremerton via the Manette Bridge, be prepared for detours coming in two weeks.

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, the Manette Bridge will be completely closed for a period of four days. The bridge will reopen in the afternoon on Thursday, Aug. 23.

Crews will clean and seal the bridge deck with epoxy and seal the driving surface of the bridge.

Drivers will be detoured to the Warren Avenue Bridge during the closure. Commuters should leave extra time or prepare an alternate route.

Walkers and bikers will still have access to the bridge, though there may be delays on a limited basis near where crews are working.
