Lots going on in Port Gamble as spring begins

Port Gamble Weddings and Events is hosting its Grand Wedding Showcase and Tasting April 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will have up to 25 vendors to talk with, sample from and bounce ideas off of.

Meet at The Hood Canal Vista Pavilion for food and beverage samples and décor inspiration and to schedule your tour of St. Paul’s Church and our Conference Rooms (your getting-ready space).

Something to keep in mind for 2023 is our latest wedding trends. Vogue has predicted longer and more elaborate veils and Grace Kelly-style gowns. The Charcuterie Board has been a hit at cocktail hour or as a late-night snack; it also makes a good food station if you want to mix it up and forego the traditional buffet line.

Kitsap Bartending Services recommends two different signature cocktails, with similar mixers to keep costs down, as well as a short beer and wine list to give a few options. Over-the-top cakes and toppers are on the rise in other parts of the country, but locally couples are opting for more variety; dessert bars with dessert bites, mini cupcakes or cookies and a small cutting cake for the couple to share.
