Christopher Cady, a single father and petty officer first class who works in the Priority Materials Office at Navy Base Kitsap-Bremerton, has won the 2011 Military Fatherhood Award.

Cady was one of 600 nominees for the honor, sponsored by the National Fatherhood Initiative. He was featured in the April 15 North Kitsap Herald and, upon winning the award, was interviewed Sunday on national Fox News.
