KINGSTON — By early afternoon Saturday the wind may have died down at Mike Wallace Park, but that didn’t stop dedicated flyers from trying their best to get those kites in the air.
This was the fifth annual Kites Over Kingston, where families and kite enthusiasts alike assembled for a day of flying.
Though the wind wasn’t strong enough for the larger kites most of the afternoon, the sun made up for the difficult flying. There wasn’t an upset face among the crowd. Temperatures neared 60 degrees and sunglasses were a popular item.
