Kingston man elected president of BI police guild

The Bainbridge Island Police Guild has elected Kingston resident Bob Day as its president for a two-year term.

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND — The Bainbridge Island Police Guild has elected Kingston resident Bob Day as its president for a two-year term.

Day, a Bainbridge Island police officer, has been with the force for nearly 10 years.

As guild president, he said he will encourage guild interaction where appropriate with citizens groups and the City Council, in an effort to improve police relations with the public. He also wants to maintain an open and productive dialogue between special interests and guild members.
