KHS Athletic Boosters host annual auction fundraiser

The fundraiser is March 8 at the White Horse Clubhouse

KINGSTON — The fourth annual Buccaneer Fundraising Auction is scheduled for March 8 to help raise money for Kingston High School athletic programs.

The event will be held at 5 p.m. in the White Horse Clubhouse.

“This fundraising auction is a necessity to ensure we continue to offer quality programs for our student athletes,” said booster president Hope Lash. “Over the last several years, district funding for sports programs has been drastically reduced due to budgetary necessities.

“The [money] we raise helps with uniform replacement costs, additional improvements at the track and football field, team transportation costs and equipment needs like baseball/fastpitch supplies and a pitching machine for tennis.”

Cost is $45 per person, or $90 per couple. There will be appetizers and complementary drink tickets.

There will be a silent and live auction. Items include resort vacations, a guided drift boat fishing trip in Forks, an overnight deluxe golf package for two at the Port Ludlow Resort, and a cheer-themed party hosted by the KHS cheerleaders.

A dessert auction will be held as well, along with a putting contest.

The event is open to everyone. For more information, or to donate an item, contact Marjorie Gaines, 360-340-4690.
