KEDA launches KitsapConnected!

Web-based media outreach project tells and sells the Kitsap story

Kitsap Economic Development Alliance (KEDA) announces the launch of KitsapConnected a new web-based media outreach project that tells and sells the Kitsap Story.  Executive Director, John Powers described the project as “The centerpiece of KEDA’s new multi-media marketing campaign.”  Powers sees the film as a powerful and engaging way to “promote economic opportunities throughout Kitsap County by telling the story of Kitsap’s economic character, components, competitiveness, and integral role in the Central Puget Sound regional economy.” The film is available for viewing at www.KitsapConnected.org

The 10-minute film was debuted in January at the Kitsap Conference Center where approximately 250 local community and business leaders gathered for KEDA’s Annual Economic Forecast event.“The video does a beautiful job of weaving the unique qualities of Kitsap County into a compelling story,” said Julie Tappero, president of West Sound Workforce, and Chair of KEDA’s Board of Directors.The project features more than 40 filmed conversations and a series of “Kitsap Connections” profiles spanning a diverse collection of organizations and businesses. KitsapConnected is directed at 3 primary audiences with 3 primary purposes: Kitsap Businesses & Stakeholders with the purpose of promoting awareness of business opportunities within Kitsap and the Greater Seattle Region; Regional Partners Business Expansion Prospects with the purpose of enhancing regional awareness of Kitsap’s role in the Region and it’s collaborative competitiveness; and Recruitment Prospects, both in terms of local enterprises recruiting talent to Kitsap, as well as attracting targeted business to Kitsap from across the country and around the globe.

KEDA’s strategic partners and investor members are invited to join KEDA in disseminating the KitsapConnected story by posting or linking these films on their respective websites, and incorporate these marketing stories into their respective enterprises marketing strategies and initiatives.KEDA welcomes opportunities to speak to businesses and community organizations to tell and sell the Kitsap Economic Development Story and to work collaboratively with local governments and businesses in attracting investment to and creating jobs throughout Kitsap County and the region.
