KCSO | Rash of thefts reported in South Kitsap

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating several thefts — four reported on same day — and burglaries in South Kitsap between May 30 and June 4.

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating several thefts — four reported on same day — and burglaries in South Kitsap between May 30 and June 4.

According to KCSO, the first two thefts were reported within eight minutes of each other around 10:03 a.m. on May 30. The first theft happened in the 2500 block of Pine Tree Drive SE, where two deep-cell batteries from a travel trailer were reported stolen.

At 10:11 a.m., a woman reported someone broke into her vehicle and took a fleece jacket and wallet, which contained her identity and credit cards. She told investigators she reported her credit cards were stolen to the companies.

Less than four hours later, a man reported two deep-cell batteries were stolen from his travel trailer in the 2600 block of Aspen Street SE.

About 4:19 p.m., another man reported two deep-cell batteries were taken from his golf cart in the 2300 block of Pine Tree Drive SE.

On June 4, a woman reported someone broke into her car and took two pairs of sunglasses from her center console. He car was parked in the 2400 block of SE Lund Avenue.

A man reported on June 2 that a home, garage and workshop, located in the 10000 block of Bethel-Burley Road SE, had been broken into and several items were taken. Deputies discovered the garage’s side door was kicked in and several power and hand tools were stolen. A toolbox was reported stolen from the workshop.

At the home, deputies found the back door was forced open. The owner reported a vacuum cleaner, model trains and airplanes, vintage toys, computer and printer, ladder and chainsaw was stolen.
