Sweeten up your holiday at Indianola’s 34th Annual Strawberry Festival from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, at the Indianola Living Hope Church on the corner of Midaw and Division streets in Indianola.

Strawberry shortcake is the festival’s specialty. Visitors can feast on layers of homemade shortcake, Washington strawberries from Spooner Farms in Olympia and fresh whipped cream — all prepared in the Indianola Living Hope Church’s commercial kitchen.

A full size shortcake is $4.50; small, $3.

This year’s fest includes a raffle for a handcrafted quilt donated by Yvette Lane. Back by popular demand: church lady pies, a bake sale and the opportunity to treasure hunt at the white elephant tables.

Live music and entertainment will be provided with Mino and Lexia Christante, the Ellis Family and Bob Danielson.
