MILESTONE

In 2008, a group of local community businesses came together with the sole purpose of better meeting the needs of the underserved residents in Kitsap County. The newly formed Asset Building Coalition of Kitsap adopted its Mission: To assist Kitsap County residents in achieving financial stability, and gathering local community partners who share similar interests in improving financial education and services for people in Kitsap County.

The Coalition recently celebrated its first year and elected officers and identified its operating principles. Those elected are Larry Eyer, Kitsap Community Resources, chairman; Becky House, American Financial Solutions, vice-chair; Kristi Basse, Kitsap Community Resources, secretary; and Alex Boede, Bremerton Housing Authority, treasurer.
