POULSBO — Heather Alaina Beckwith Carroll’s circle of family and friends was a wide one. That circle is using social media to console each other and share memories of the 25-year-old mother, believed to have been murdered by a friend.

Carroll, who lived in Suquamish from 1993-2004 and attended North Kitsap High School, was reported missing Oct. 10 when she failed to pick her son Riley up from school in Hollister, Calif., where she and her husband, Grady, and son had lived since 2011. Her car was found the next day in a field, destroyed by fire.

A man sought for questioning, David Jose Quiroz of Hollister, surrendered after a 10-hour standoff with police; he is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on a murder charge. The body of a woman found Saturday in his house had not been officially identified Tuesday morning; the San Benito County Coroner was expected to make identification and cause of death official Tuesday 1 p.m. But on Monday, Carroll’s family had issued an obituary and scheduled a memorial service Thursday, 2 p.m., at Bayside Church in Kingston.

Carroll is survived by her son, Riley Adam Carroll, and her husband, Grady Carroll of Hollister; her father and mother, Mark and Mardi Beckwith of Prosser, Wash.; her sister, April Souza of Wasilla, Alaska; brother, Matthew Beckwith of Long Island, N.Y.; her grandfathers, Harold Reeves of Silverdale and John C. Ogle of Danville, Wash.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and adoring friends.
